April: The Heart of the leader, Tommy Spaulding former CEO of Up With People, points out that strong leadership begins with developing genuine and lasting professional and personal relationships. The books comes highly recommended and is a New York Times best seller. He explores three themes:1) Becoming a Heart-led Leader beginning with understanding one self; 2) The 18-Inch Journey from the head to to the heart; 3) Leaving a Heartprint on the world which becomes one's legacy. May: Daniel F. Prosser shows how your company could become one of the Thirteeners - the 13 percent of companies that achieve successfully. this book will guide you to an organizational structure that can take you to another level of performance, create a work environment that supports your vision and brings alive team participation in it, and in the end produce lasting results. Prosser relies on research to back up his claims. A good read for those who want to be within the 13 percent of top level businesses. June: One of my favorite books. Psychiatrist, Victor Frankl agrues that we can't avoid suffering but we can change how we cope with it, find meaning in it and move to a renewed sense of purpose. His book and life long practice is based on his experience within Nazi death camps and it teaches about spiritual survival. Frankl theorizes that our purpose is not based on the pursuit of pleasure, but on our search of purposeful meaning in life.- taking care of ourselves and looking after others.
