Our success in working with others comes from our success in dealing with ourselves. We can give positive vibes if we feel good about receiving positive vibes. We can compliment people if we can handle them ourselves. The revers is true; if we don’t feel good about who we are or have difficulty in receiving compliments we will find it hard to be positive and act positively.
1. Give yourself a compliment after a job well done even if others don’t. 2. Savor the good things that happen to you. Every day there are positive moments – they are special gifts we receive from others. 3. Give yourself a reward when something goes well – it doesn’t have to be big – maybe just a two-minute break from what you are doing. 4. Say a kind word to someone, you will feel better for the saying. “What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
