Spring Cleaning Your Office

Spring is here. It's time to do some "Office Spring Cleaning." Here's a check list to get you started:

1.  Work through your "some day" pile that is on the corner of your desk. File what's finished, Recycle what you don't need, and Date Activate when you will complete what you need to do on the file.
2.  Clean up your virtual desk top - you know your computer desk top. Delete or file the icons you don't need.
3.  Remove the "sticky notes" on your desk and on your computer. They are reminders for what you need to do. Use your "Task Manager" in your productivity software program.
4. Put some plants in your office. They clean the air and bring a little cheer to a dull office setting.
5. List the tasks you are procrastinating about and get them done. Start them don't stare at them.
6. Identify one weakness you have and turn it into a strength; or strengthen one of your strengths.

When you remove the things that interrupt you, you can focus more on what is important
